Known mostly for his in-your-face promotion & marketing tacticts, Rob Berkowitz, or “BERKO” as his friends know him, has been hard at work. For nearly 2 years he helped build a house music movement in the Comox Valley through his club night House Ten85, and Cloud21 Events. Based at the foothills of Mt. Washington Alpine Resort, Cloud21 booked international artists, and networked with all the major booking agents on the West Coast. It was clear that he was on to something bigger than most.
Now residing in beautiful Victoria BC Canada, Berkowitz has continued his passion as a solid dj who has learned the craft from his close peers. A diverse library of tracks will take you anywhere from House-techno-deep & progressive.
Since November of 2009 CLOUD21 EVENTS has been re-branding the city of Victoria with a new sense of direction in electronic music and shows. Past produced events include such world class talent as: ADAM K, SAM LA MORE, MORGAN PAGE, WOLFGANG GARTNER, CHRIS LAKE, COSMIC GATE, MASSIVE SUMMER BOAT CRUISES, MICHAEL WOODS & the legendary MIGUEL MIGS.
2010 saw Berko start to play all over Victoria at various lounges including Salute, The Office, and Earls Downtown… In the clubs such as Paparazzi, Hush, Social Club, Karma, & even after hours at Sunset Room & Sonica Late Nites. Fast forward now to 2011, with his 1st residency at the West Coast DJ’s “MOJO Saturdays” at The New Karma Nightclub, and with future plans of touring now on the horizon, production seems to be the natural next step.
Berko’s style of DJ’ing is regarded as highly energetic and intoxicating. A pleasure for all those in attendance.

Neil Davis aka Neo¹ or Totally, is a rare breed of DJ that has been rockin out speed garage since the Summer of 1999. Within the past few years Neo has been growing his potential producing his own tracks. 2010 presented Neo with the opportunity for his premier release “Destination EP” a 5 track EP release on Atomic Zoo Recordings (Calgary). 2011 is already starting to show alot of promise with one remix released on Backzide Records (San Francisco) in March and 3 remixes for Atomic Zoo released in April & May. Now with 5 originals and 2 remixes slated for release in July-Aug on Backzide Records, Bass Hound Records (Seattle) and Breakz R Boss (Calgary) there seems to be no end in sight for this budding producer. Not only does Neo specialize in warping basslines, he is also fond to breaks, garage, 2-step, funky house, 4x4, bassline house, dnb and dubstep. Neo is also one half of “Funk’n Ruff”, the other half being none other than his best friend Brent ‘d-Set’ Kral. Together they produce mostly speed garage, bassline house and bassline breaks.
Now with 12 years of bassline knowledge behind him, come out and witness Neo with his extreme energy and stage presence animating dancefloors all across Vancouver Island, the Lower Mainland, the Okanagan and hopefully this year the boundaries will be pushed to a new level! He’s sure to make you move your body all night long to his bass heavy sets tuned to the funky sounds of house, 2-step, breaks and garage and the dirty whompy bassline driven beats of speed garage, bassline and 4x4 with the occasional added grit of dubstep and dnb.
Doomwork may be summed up and identified in one single term: “unconventional”. Musically grown in the early years of the new millennium – when Italian dance had its point of apex- Alessandro and Claudio started to looking for darker sonority ; the path for the discovering of Detroit’s “Techno” music scene and its founders was short: Derrick May, Juan Atkins and Jeff Mills. Shortly after, their tin ear brought them to the so called “Big Beat” and its facets: Synth Rock, Funk, Hip Hop (Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim, Prodigy). At the same time they started to be interested into the Chicago House movement, born in the first half of the 80’s. Alessandro and Claudio decided collaborating together in 2008 and thus giving start to the Doomwork project. They soon reached the top of the Beatport chart, the famous reference portal of world modern club culture, with the song “Isla” first (two months n°1 in the deep house chart),and “Jazzy Stuff” then (two months n°1 in the general chart, resulting as the top selling record of 2009) and scoring again with “Groovin” (one month n°1 in the deep house chart, boasting one of the world deep house guru’s remix: Milton Jackson). In 2010 they are among the nominees of the Beatport Awards in the “the best deep house track” session, obtaining a second price with their track “Lost in memory”. All their productions constantly get positive feedbacks from the most important djs of the techno world scene as Carl Cox, Loco Dice, Karotte, 2000andOne, Radioslave, Satoshi Tomiee and many more. Their musical output brought them not only fame, but also drawn the attention of the biggest expertise of the international “scene” : Dylan Hermelijm (aka 2000andOne), chief of Planet Gong (one of the most estimate European organization), is one of them. He decided to remix and release the track “Andromeda” on the historic dutch techno label 100%PURE. The track went “on air” on BBC radio during Pete Tong broadcast “Essential Mix”, and then was released in the compilation “Wonderland” for Pete Tong’s label “Defected Records”, “Andromeda” thus became one of the most important project of the duo. Many of their works are included in the most important compilations : Space Ibiza comp. , Privilege Ibiza comp. , Cavo Paradiso “Definitons” vol. 10 (mixed by Satoshi Tomiee) , Campari Sunset ,released by Sony Music to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the famous drink. They have been performing in clubs all over the world since 2009; Air Club (Tokio) for the Redbull Master Night, Q Club (Zurich) , Tenax ( Florence), Goa (Rome), Elrow 14 (Barcelona), Bullit Club (Monaco), are only some of the clubs the duo perfomed in. Despite this intense working period, they managed to focus on their live set, a music container that ranges from “deep” and “techno”, “electro” and “house”, “prog” and “hip hop”, and brought to life their own musical purpose, in order to create a bond between the artist and the dance floor. The project immediately received positive feedbacks, and met the dancefloor during the “Amsterdam Dance Event 2010” where it can be brought to the audience in the setting of the famous “Studio 80” . Since then it became part of the “Saw Recordings” tour, Satoshi Tomiee and Hector Romero’s label. At the end of a busy 2010, the 2011 seems to be hectic either, with the launch of their own label “Retouch Recordings”, with the new projects that seem to be more important than the previous years, a new 100%PURE release and the debut on “Audiomatique”, Steve Bug’s label (Trentemoller latest album was released on the same label, just for the record), and together with their first concept album soon to be made, we’ll hardly see them enjoying a cocktail

Christoph Maitland has been all of an award winning DJ, popular club resident and eclectic producer. His collaboration with Toby Emerson and Veela was a 2011 hit and is currently featured as the demo song for Image Line’s FL Studio 10. Chord’s philosophy is simple: play good music. His style flows through deep dub and minimal to house and techno—a slow burn of building rhythms accelerating into a smouldering bass climax. Moving from making killer mixed tapes for friends to playing records for local parties, his easygoing demeanour continues to engage audiences at clubs, festivals, and on his weekly web radio broadcast DUB:fuse (dub.ca). Chord’s DJ sets return focus to the music as its own spectacle, with intuitively constructed sets that play out with a constrained and powerful force. His influences range from early dub, ambient, stripped-down minimal, jackin’ house, and ground-shaking techno.
As half of the production team OVERCAST SOUND, he has played live sets at international shows including in Berlin, the Biennial of the Americas, MUTEK, and the upcoming inaugural Aguilar Dubtechno Festival in the south of France (September 2011).
The existence of Dodd has long been questioned by those who’ve not been on his dancefloor—but those who’ve been there are fast and thorough believers. From his humble beginnings as a dancefloor observer Dodd carefully catalogued the sounds and reactions of the people in order to pinpoint the perfect palette of progressive sounds: blending trance, glitch, dub and techno tidbits into memorable dancefloor journeys that transcend sonic expectations. With these dancefloor commandments Dodd has been rocking crowds consistently in Victoria, as well as becoming a mainstay of the Entheos Conference and Festival. Whether you’re a believer or not, with the speakers as his chorus, you will be moved by the voice of Dodd…
There are 4 beats in a bar, and 4 bars in a phrase, but that’s not the only phrase in music. Fraser Evans, better known as Phrase, fell in love with music from a young age and has always been interested in shaping a certain sound. Attraction to broken beats brought him to where he is in the electronic music scene today. With several years of mixing and many more of drumming and various other instruments under his belt you can always expect fine rhythms. Even at a young age Phrase steps up to the deck and impresses, every time.
Exploding onto the west coast Drum n’ Bass scene, Matt ‘Dezine’ has been bringing a soulful fusion of sexy, dark funk to dance floors all over Vancouver Island. Matt Dezine has been bathing in drum and bass for over ten years, seeking out a fusion of sexy dark funk and developing a penchant for hard bass and kicking ass. Skilled at fighting off attacking velociraptors while throwing down some of the hugest drum riddims you’ll ever hear. Holding down a three year strong monthly at Hush nightclub as one third of the cataclysmic Dreadsteppas has minted his technique to a razors edge. Sonically forging together an new breed of sound, this beat juggernaut isn’t afraid to do things differently in the studio. Always striving for the marring together of melodie and destruction, like angels shitting chainsaws. There are only two things this auditory wizard doesn’t like, that group in the back not dancing, and people who talk in the third person…
you know who you are.

DJ Chris Poynter has been mixing music ever since he was 9 years old when he figured out how to record songs from the radio onto his cassette player. He got into the mobile DJ business when he was 17, and for 8 years had a lot of success spinning at weddings, school dances, corporate events, and house parties all over the Lower Mainland and the Okanagan region of BC. Although he still plays the role of mobile DJ from time-to-time, Chris has more recently began to focus his energies on mixing dance and electronic music. Boasting an extremely eclectic taste, Chris is the type of DJ who does not believe in limiting himself to one genre. Because of this philosophy, he has been heralded for his exceptional abilities to combine fitting song choice and a creative mixing style to effectively control the ebb and flow of the dance floor all night long… no matter what the venue or occasion!
DJ Chris Poynter also has a formally trained background as a jazz trumpet & piano player, and is currently studying Elementary Education at the University of Victoria. Teacher by day, DJ by night?

Craig Joseph Huxtable is a Vancouver/Victoria based electronic musician with 20+ years in the industry. Best known for creating politically and socially minded work, Huxtable is noted for energetic and passionate live performances, which are an exception rather than the norm for most electronic-based artists, where most of the action usually takes place hidden away from sight in front of banks of computers and synthesizers. Craig has played almost every form of electronic music includingelectro-industrial, acid house, techno, drum n bass and ambient.
His main project Landscape Body Machine has played the West Coast constantly over the past 17 years sharing the stage with such acts as KMFDM, Moev, Covenant and more. He has remixed a wide array of artists like Cargohold, You say Party! and Fidgital and collaborated with personalities like Dr. David Suzuki and Noam Chomsky. Craig has an industry wide reputation as an amazing live and session keyboardist, recording and touring as a member of Frontline Assembly, Noise Unit and Stiff Valentine. Huxtable is currently recording and performing two new projects this year, Polaris (house) and S:NR (IDM) with Chris Peterson of Frontline Assembly/Decree.
Craig will be performing multiple sets this year at Motion Notion including as Landscape Body Machine (electro-industrial) and Polaris (House). He will also be performing with Ghidora (multi-genre electronic) and be the backing band for artist Geoff Shellard during the festival.
Whether he’s opening for international superstars like Tipper, Bassnectar,A skillz and the Freestylers; rocking a headlining slot at an outdoor party or providing backdrop beats in a local lounge, Generic is the kind of DJ who fully brings it, whatever the gig. His combination of technical skills (the guy has taken several Vancouver Island DJ competition titles), impeccable ear for crowd-rocking tunes and a fun-loving attitude makes Generic (nee Cole Magnusson) one of the Island’s most sough-after disc jockeys. Expect one of his sets to be chock-a-block with broken beats, glitch hop, drum and bass and dubstep—including some of his own tracks, edits and remixes—with plenty of cutting and scratching thrown in for good measure. With skills like that, it’s no surprise this 10-year vet behind the decks rarely goes a weekend without dropping a set

Currently residing in Victoria, British Columbia, Antagonist is bringing a fresh take on the bass music scene, on both local and international scales. With a passion for sound design, he drives forth a unique blend of soft melodic textures and wild savage basslines like a tour de force. Now in his sophomore year as a producer, he has accumulated releases on multiple record labels, established a strong online fanbase, and gotten rotations and accolades from many of his peers and influences, including Excision, Numbernin6, DJ Sashwat, Mark Instinct, Cottonmouth, and many more.
Antagonist began his career in 2007 as a hip-hop artist, both producing for hire and to accompany his own lyrics. His prior knowledge in rhythm guitar and thrash metal found Antagonist’s productions influenced strongly by hostile tones and dark melodies. The ensuing search for a more aggressive sound lead him to leave ‘traditional’ hip-hop behind and focus on dubstep - which has recently expanded to include drum and bass, glitch hop, moombahton, and various other genres of ‘bass music’. His focus on combining the hard-hitting beats from rap music and the aggressive tones in metal, while adding hints of classical music and middle eastern flavours, are the driving force behind Antagonist’s unique sound.
With a well-established skillset in the studio, Antagonist is now naturally branching outwards to DJing. With priority set upon his original productions, he creates intelligent, multi-genre sets ranging from the deepest of deep to the most savage heavy basslines around. Whatever the style, wherever the venue, be prepared for a thorough soaking in sub bass!
The Wobble Skankz, aka Lance Blake and Conrad Funk, reunite to get you on the dancefloor, not giving a fuck! For two years now WHOA, GRENADE! have insistently made their mark around BC. They don’t talk, they don’t joke. They just make you dance. It’s as simple as that. Whatever it takes. From an intimate room of a couple hundred to a massive crowd of thousands, they’ve proved this. It doesn’t matter what they play. From their spine-chilling productions to the most exclusive music you wish you had (which gets delivered straight to their inboxes), anything they put on those speakers will make you dance. It doesn’t take many conversations with many people around the island to confirm that. Signing with Burn the Fire records in Los Angeles didn’t hurt them, either. Expect their debut EP August 1st. Also expect massive official remixes of high-profile artists such as Alex Mind (ft. Sue Cho), Fast Foot, and many more. These guys won’t stop until they hit the top.
I have only been DJing for a year now, however have played shows at Spirit Bar and the Royal on Baker in Nelson BC and The Element Club in Castlegar BC. I have opened for Timothy Wisdom, Rococode, Ryan Wells, Cass Rhapsody, as well as closed 3 nights myself. I am really fresh on the scene, but deliver a high energy, fun, exciting performance. I am very passionate about electronic music, and have started producing my own. I realize I don’t have very much to go on here, but hopefully you enjoy my mix, as it gives a good idea of what to expect of my performance. The mix is a live recording. Thanks so much for your time, and best of luck with your festival!

Youn1que: 22 and spinning all types of electronic music from Victoria, BC. Youn1que (Chris Ooms) has been making monthly mixes and mash ups of fresh new electro to fine tune his mixing skills. He likes to think of his mixing as an alchemy, conceptually blending genres to create melodies that will string the notes of your emotions, build ups that will elevate you to ecstatic heights, and fat basslines that will get you rockin!! Youn1que grew into EDM from first listening to psy-trance such as Infected Mushroom & Astrix because he loved their creativity with sounds and melodies, as it grew on him he expanded his genres to progressive/electro/deep house, psychedelic, and moombahton to experience more perspectives of dance music. Having a wide range of interest in music and a keen ear for what people like to hear, you can expect to hear a very dynamic and energetic mixing style that will take you through an uplifting and magical journey through sound!
DJ Xcite: New to the DJ scene but definitely not new to music, Dj Xcite (Dylan Belanger, 22) has been producing electro music for 3 years, he also has 12 years of experience on the guitar to help form the complex electro rhythms that he produces today. He uses Reason 5.0, Ableton and Massive to produce his music, and upbeat melodies is all you’ll find coming out of his speakers when DjXcite is behind the decks. Producers such as Far Too Loud, Knife Party, Skrillex, Alex Mind, Feed Me, Designer Drugs, Astrix etc. are major inspirations to him and continue to fuel the journey to become a better producer/DJ.
A newcomer to the local scene, Triadic (Kevin Green) is a long time musician who has settled into bass music as a focus after a long search through multiple instruments and styles. Mixing and producing for two years, he has found himself spinning the deepest dubstep he can find, and has recently found a place in bass and melody driven half-time drum and bass. Spinning exclusively vinyl sets, he seeks to throw down smoothly flowing bass driven mixes that make your whole body want to groove to the beat. Its all about the staggered rhythms, body grooves and bass filled tunes.
One part sexy robot and one part aerobics instructor, 25 year old Matt Dauncey has managed to find the middle ground between music and athletics. By harnessing the power of wrestling suits, tennis sweatbands, vintage synthesizers, and electric guitar, Neighbour has tapped into an ancient power-source that has given him the capacity to conjure up frenzied dancefloors
wherever he is needed. Through a mysterious process that involves not one, but TWO gigantic crystals, the Homebreakin Records co-owner has managed to combine the raw ecstacy of the early days of disco with razor-sharp futuristic production.
His hybrid DJ / live performance tore across the continent this year, culminating in an incredible series of festival dates across western Canada, including headlining slots at Shambhala 2009, Soundwave, Bass Coast Project, Astral Harvest, and Summer Break. In addition to playing almost 100% original production and remixes, Neighbour plays live synthesizer and electric guitar alongside his legendary DJ sets, which range from no-nonsense electric funk bangers to gorgeous technicolor remixes of classic garage, disco, and house music.
Not one to be pigeonholed, Neighbour has spent the better part of the last two years collaborating with everyone in sight. Upcoming dancehall tracks with Calgary’s Ouda Ouda, boogie-raps with fellow performer MC ThinkTank, and an unbelieveable slate of remixes and original releases guarantee that as soon as you think you know that “Neighbour Sound”, it has grown into something completely different.
Some people say that dance music isn’t as fun as it used to be; then again, some people haven’t seen a grown man in a unitard shoot lazers out of his guitar far away into the night sky.
From growing up in a musical family Hindle was introduced to music at very young age. “ I always found myself analyzing different beats and rhythms and found myself looking for a feeling in music”.
Hindle was introduced into the electronic scene Through his parents at a young age. As Hindle started to discover the sensations of the scene he stumbled upon three passionate dj’s Paul Van Dyk, Tiesto and Armin Van Buuren. “Their sound was truly like no other and moved me in way like no other”. “Their sound inspired me to become something great”. Hindle was touched!
From being touched so deeply Hindle devolped a desire, a desire
to touch people like how he has been touched, to inspire people to be positive, and to always move forward.
Hindle started djing at 17 with his friend and local dj- dj Redro! “I started playing for house parties with dj Redro and eventually moved up, playing at underground venues and events, then eventually to the club environment.” Now together they form a collaboration called Phemo” to introduce a phat emotion!
As Hindle got more and more into djing he started moving towards house music and made his signature! “I loved how groovy and positive it is, it just has so much flavour”
“My objective is to play that groovy vibe but incorporate that touching desire to inspire people and make them feel good”. “Feeling good is the best thing you can do for yourself. “A Successful performance in my eyes, is when everyone leaves happy!”
Fronted by the enigma that is :DT:, a visceral crowd-mesmerizing vocal powerhouse capable of hypnotizing thousands of people and holding them in the palm of his outstretched hand, guiding them through the journey that is the Wordclock experience.
Backed by the entity known as Renfield, part man, part machine and possibly of alien origin. Little is known about Renfield, and what is known is rarely spoken out loud. He stands behind his wall of technology and ushers in the soundtrack too humanities utter destruction and de-evolution, setting it too a pulsing, pounding beat.
In short, Wordclock is explosive Post-Apocalyptic Cinematic Industrial music. They will show you the future, for this is 2012, the dawning of a new age, and the Wordclock is ticking like a timebomb, ready to explode.
Joy Kitikonti was born in Tuscany. He felt immediately a great passion for music when he was young, probably influenced by his father, a musician during 60’s 70’s. His career began in 80’s, he was a self taught musician, skilful with the battery and percussion instruments. Joy is a polyhedric artist with several discographic successes, important partnerships and awards in his background. All these experiences made him the complete artist of today. His underground vocation comes from those boundary territories, where music means fun, not just money, where friendship among the artists goes further than the interests of the music industry. Joy has already released hundreads of tracks during the latest years, both under his real name and under different pseudonyms. Joy Kitikonti is a complete artist and he has a deep musical background, he’s really appreciated by his collegues for his creative fantasy and his original sound. He’s really requested also as remixer.

So what’s a roots/singer songwriter have to do with Electronic music?
“I started dabbling with records and DJing back in 2003 when I was living in a little house by the beach. We’d have parties on the weekends and hire DJs, pack the place and dance all night ‘til the morning. After one of the parties, a DJ left his tables and two crates of vinyl in my kitchen for a week… so one night I set it all up and started playing. Its been a secret love of mine ever since.
I love the feeling of finding new tracks and creating new feelings through the music, its something that touches a side of live production I’ve yet to find while performing with my band. Its a whole new colour to paint with, and I’m loving the journey.”
I started out playing outdoor end-of-the-year concerts for Community Colleges around my home town of NYC. When I moved to BC for school, I fell in love with the house music scene, specifically people’s appreciation for good house music here. My goal every set, whether it’s at a house party or stage is to give people the most entertaining experience as they listen an dance to the beats I am so passionate about.
Alissa is passionate about art, cooking, clothing & costume design, music, & dancing. As “NeonSally”, she spent many sleepless nights dancing all over the interior of BC & under the stars at The Shambhala Music Festival to her favorite DJs.
Alissa’s first appearance as DJ “Lyssa” took place in 2005. Having spent 11 years in Mexico, and being fortunate enough to be exposed to Latin culture, she has a strong desire to explore her roots in her musical selections. Depending on what mood we catch her in, hot summer afternoons call for deep sexy Chicago beats and bouncy latin-infused house, and on colder nights, expect anything from dirty deep organic tribal tech to quirky & fun latin tech house….
Lyssa made Victoria her home in spring 2007. Recently Lyssa has had the privilege of opening for some amazing artists, like DJ Rice, Lori J Ward, and Kenzie Clarke. She has performed at summer festivals like Victoria Electronic Music Festival, Entheos Gathering, Uprising, and Solaris, as a solo dj, and with Skylo Raine as “UFO”. You can catch her playing in Victoria at some of the city’s coolest lounges & underground hotspots like The Sunset Room, Hush, & Base Lounge, or at two of Canada’s best music festivals, Entheos Gathering and Shambhala Music Festival.
Conducting experiments for many years, Alchemist Him finally discovered the highest form of inner peace he knew to be humanly possible . . . It was at a club. His tracks expertly maneuver the musical space between big room electro, house and peak time progressive and have sold in excess of 45,000 copies worldwide! He has received airplay by Judge Jules, and is a featured artist of music software giant, FL Studio. That being said, 2011 is the year you have the opportunity to see one of the continents best party rockers at a club near you!
The popularity of bass-heavy dance music is spreading like wildfire across the world, with many producers crafting their own styles of dubstep, grime and garage. In the humble city of Pittsburgh, PA DJ/producer Kastle has cultivated his own style of bass-heavy beats with a soulful twist reminiscent of classic Chicago house.
After teaching himself guitar and piano around the age of 12, Barrett Richards pooled his efforts towards electronic instrumentation about two years later. He began taking production as seriously as he did DJing during that time, and involved himself deep into the Northeast rave scene. It was no surprise that in time, though, personal growth and 14 years of production experience paired with a degree in audio engineering would breed a new sound. Kastle came to life at a pivotal moment after a big move from Boston back to his hometown of Pittsburgh in March 2009. After nearly a year of conceptualizing, he knew he was working on something special.
The name itself implies a fortress, a personal space that is used to cultivate a long-time love of hip-hop and R&B, old garage and 2-step and fuse it with the magnetizing effect that dubstep, garage and bass-heavy music has had on Barrett and, really, the various communities of underground electronic music. Readjusting to Steel City - a concentrated environment of blue collars and strong values - he wasted zero effort to get the project off the ground.
The studio and touring dichotomy of an artist’s life is a perfect yin & yang for Kastle in both his production and outlook. His professional experience as an engineer puts forth clean, crisp production, but his love for the party provides a playful bass that eats a room. Altogether, the wide varieties of vocals - both originals and sampled - are a key element to Kastle’s sound. “I grew up on hip hop and R&B, and sampling is considered an art form,” he says. “It’s becoming more and more fun to dig through old records and find obscure samples.” He cites another unexpected influence -legendary French filmmaker Jean-Luc Godard, who had once said that “it’s not where you take things from, it’s where you take them to.”
Straight out of the gates Kastle has garnished strong media attention from the likes of XLR8R, URB and Fact Magazine along with plays on BBC Radio 1.His fresh and unique production work has also seen him working with big labels such as Ministry of Sound and Scion A/V and he has lent his production chops to rework artists such as Example, Blu Mar Ten and The Glitch Mob. With so much accomplished in such a short time, it is clear that not even the sky is the limit for the future of Kastle.

Dubstep DJ, producer, and radio host Synba regurgitates the massive tunes flowing through his head, and he doesn’t play anything that doesn’t destroy his own personal sense of sanity. “Listening for 8 hours a day for the rest of my life I could only scratch the surface of the amazing musical content out there! I’ve always had eclectic taste; finding where the extremes resonate and where craziness becomes music is my favorite part.” Born on Vancouver Island he spent his early years involved in multiple musical and theatrical projects. While in high school he was given the keys to a professional theatre and sound system. As his seat in the classroom was often found empty, he could be found in the theatre working with dancers, musicians, and visual artists alike. He now spends his days in search of the sound that supplements your pulse.
This DJ duo from the ski-bum/party capital of the world, Whistler Canada, decided to put the drinks down for a minute and start producing. Within a few short months they have put together a strong catalogue of remixes and originals. Livingstone has finally put his 10 years of classical piano training to work laying down flowing synth and crafty bass-lines. Canosis brings his strong passion for hip-hop, funk, and soul to the table, infusing the raw boom-bap hip-hop beats and quirky sample selection.
Ryan “Juice” hails from Canmore, Alberta – a small, majestic mountain town nestled in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Despite spending his formative years in the Wild Rose country, Ryan was born Gangster. That is, he has always, and continues to, draw inspiration from the grimiest of hood symphonies. Juice’s impromptu relocation to the West Coast, however, has slowly and methodically infused funk, electro, disco, swing, house and general womp wompiness into his eccentric palette. His fun party style and being up in animal costumes late at night has made Juice a household name in several Victoria party circles.
Although Ryan did not start fiddling with the greasy pots and pans until the fall of 2010, his first notable gig came just months later as he headlined the New Years Eve party at Banff, Alberta’s infamous Aroura nightclub. Playing a few more shows in Banff and Calgary and getting more and more into the Victoria scene, Juice has garnered a reputation for consistently bringing crowds to the dance floor and compelling them to have insane amounts of fun.
“I just really, really like facilitating a good time. When there’s good music, people have more fun – it’s science.”

Xavier’s energy behind the decks is like no other.. He strongly believes that it’s always 50% stage prescence, 50% skill and of course 100% track selection. Since 2001, his goal has been to make sure that you experience first hand what a ridiculously good set is all about. He surges out waves of party rocking breaks, disco synths and electro hooks, mixing everything flawlessly, while mashing in acapella’s..
It’s 2012. 50+ parties, 100+ opening gigs and a couple headlining slots later and Xavier is pushing boundaries more than before, and with his Breakbeat partner, Wes Beanz. As W.A.X and by himself, Xavier has shared the stage with international stars like A Skillz, Stanton Warriors, Alex Metric, NAPT, The Freestylers, Chase & Status, The Breakfastaz, Treasure Fingers, Dilemn, General Midi, Hook N Sling, Busta, Farace, Pimpsoul, Atomic Hooligan, DJ Quest, Baobinga, D.I.M. & Shimon.. Do not miss seeing this kid rock the stage. When he gets going, It’s unparalleled to anything out there.
GUMBOOTZ….. Born in Toronto, Cale “Gumbootz” Robichaud, moved to the west coast at the young age of 11. Growing up, he had a major love for music, and knew that one day he would be on a stage rocking out! But it wasn’t until a friend picked up a couple turntables that he realized his true calling; to rock the masses as a DJ.
Over a decade has passed and Gumbootz has since built up a reputation as a hard hitting DJ, opening for world class talent such as The Freestylers, The Breakfasters, Donald Glaude, Bryx, Myagi, Smalltown Dj’s and Wood & Soo. He has also hosted a weekly internet radio show on “Icestation.net” and held a weekly residency at Karma Nightclub.
Gumbootz made heads explode at the infamous ‘Soundwave’ music festival, the ‘Victoria Electronic Music Festival (VEMF)’, Jump Ship, and countless other raves and parties up and down Vancouver Island. Gumbootz has a lot of experience under his belt and what we’ve seen so far is only the beginning!
Recently Gumbootz has gotten into the music production side of things along side good friend Dj Generic, who has been teaching Gumbootz the ins and outs of music production. Gumbootz has been working hard to be able to take this into his live sets as well, to create a fusion of DJ set and live PA by linking Ableton, Traktor Scratch and NI’s Maschine.
Gumbootz’ energy, charisma, and ability to rock the crowd, makes even the most stubborn of party goers hit the dance floor. DJ Gumbootz is definitely not one to miss.
Mesmerizing, passionate and stunning are just a few words that describe this hot talent in the Canadian DJ scene. Growing up with music was an important part of her life, she was able to truly appreciate the many avenues and genres. Playing the piano and having those classically trained roots contributed to her self-taught ability of picking up precise skills behind the decks.
Her natural ear for sounds makes djing & production in the studio perfect playgrounds for her creative and electrifying mixing skills. Exceeding expectations every performance, she has been described as one of the hardest working DJs in Canada. So it’s no surprise that DJ Laela has become one of the fastest growing and highly sought after female DJs in the country. She holds many residencies around Western Canada including Whistler, Vancouver and Victoria nights, regular Revelstoke appearances, along with Banff and Calgary shows in AB.
DJ Laela’s talents go far beyond her ability to lay down tracks, as she has been known to surprise the crowd by throwing in her alluring ‘Live Vocals’ over her tracks. Depending on the mood and desire of the crowd, you may catch her on the microphone and you will be amazed on a whole other level!! Her style reflects the sexiest, dirtiest house & electro beats in the club, so expect the dancefloors to be filled from start to end of the show.
She has supported MSTRKRFT, Sam La More (MOS Australia) and played alongside the likes of The Stafford Brothers (MOS Australia, Fox8 TV) and most recently Jamie Vale on a Red Bull Western Canada Tour. She has also played previous years at main stage & venues at the 2009 & 2010 VEMF. Between the 2010 Winter Olympics/Paralympics she performed in Vancouver & Whistler playing some of the hottest venues including Barcelona (Vancouver’s #1 voted Nightclub VNA 2010) and Gorgomish Afterhours, it was one of her favorite and most memorable tour experiences so far.
With each performance her domino effect occurs, making it’s way from venue to venue leaving one thing in common…a truly positive lasting impression! The result is her bookings branching out further away each time in higher demand. Egyptrixx makes celestial club music; jeep music for a Saturn desert. There is an exhilarating right-but-wrong tension that all of his tracks share - a shifting balance between melodic and dissonant, rapturous and antisocial. His releases challenge the status quo and impress with a unique style informed by elements of techno, house, dubstep, pop and drone music. His debut album, ‘Bible Eyes’ was released in March of 2011 to critical acclaim from Pitchfork, The Wire, Spinner, Fader, and many others.
After being inspired by the countless local events featuring local and international DJ’s, Matterson decided to take up the craft himself. Starting with the electro craze of the late ‘00 era, he first played parties for Sonica Late Nights and Westcoast Funktions where he learned much about the craft. As time moved forward, he started contributing to regional burning man events, growing into a more mature house sound in the process. Reaching into Funky, Jackin, Deep and Tech areas of House showcases his ever increasing development.

2010/2011 was an incredible adventure for the soulfix & Dirty Politics alias’. Having spent the first year in Victoria, collaborating with some of the local favorites, soulfix parleted his record label and beatport connections, to give many local artists thier first record deals, and first taste of serious international marketplace exposure. Keoni, Chi No, Veela, Cityof9s, Florian, Happyfeat(DTF!), Neo1, LSDJ 50, Antagonist, and even one of the boys from Whoa Grenade, all cut their teeth and made their beatport debut, on one of the record labels that soulfix owns and manages. Soulfix’ local contribution also has created many opportunities for new up & coming DJ’s to preform locally, with regular events around town in the past year and more to come this fall. Having brought many headliners to the city including, Bass Kleph, Mc Flipside, Will Bailey, Lazy Rich vs Jelo, Paul Anthony, Dylan Kennedy & having thrown countless local events, including a Monday night residency @ the world famous Hush Nightclub with Chi No, Micheal was voted by the public as Victoria’s premier Music Producer & Top Electro DJ, at the first Annual Victoria Nightlife Awards. A child of hip-hop & a student of electronic music, Monolithium’s sound is the axiom where funk, sexed-up r&b, bass & swagger coalesce into concise, focused dancefloor heat.
Signed to Error Broadcast - the label responsible for current beat-scene slayers Pixelord & Montgomery Clunk - Monolithium’s debut EP ‘SIMON & G-FUNK’ is packed with club-ready heaters from another realm altogether.
Live, Monolithium twerks his own diced up bangers with classic grime, blap & hip-hop, proving that there’s much to offer the dancefloor in a post-dubstep world.

My name is Carson and I come from Edmonton, Alberta where I started to make Electronic music when I was 11. Since then I have had multiple songs released and many Mixes created.
Over the past years I have grown to become more of a Producer and Content Manager for labels and records. I am currently the Assistant Content Manager for Monstercat Media. Currently I help the Mau5trap Podcast with their promotion as an Assistant Podcast Producer. I also have been in contact with Joel (DeadMau5) for future ideas about the Mau5trap label its self. I have also been in contect with Big Beat Records (OWSLA) about becoming their Content Manager for 2014. And lastly I have been taken under the wing of Sweet Shop Records to help create my own label I created called ByTz Records.
Hailing originally from San Jose california, now residing in Victoria BC, G. Bass was introduced into the world of electronic music in 05’ when attending Shamabhala music festival. Since then he has been HOOKED and ADDICTED to soul twisted basslines. what started with a passion for DnB, electro, and breaks turned into a wide range of styles of the west coast bass scene in the California bay area and all over British Columbia into the glitch, midtempo, ghetto funk, and future sounds of indescribable tweaked beats. Anything twisted with a deep desire to make people loose their minds or feel at peace, from the most raging bangers or to the most soul melting basslines, from 50bpm to 170bpm and beyond it does not matter.
d-Set first got into electronic dance music in early 1998, being so drawn in by this sound he needed to be a part of it and purchased his first set of turntables by summer. His love for big basslines and skippy beats attached his interests to this genre they were calling speed garage. As one of the original and rare Garage DJs on Vancouver Island d-Set has been playing clubs, music festivals, and parties all over western Canada for the last 13 years. He has been producing his own music now since 2007 and with a few years of production behind him now you are sure to hear a number of d-Set originals during his sets. It’s always a treat to experience how his energy makes an entire dance floor go off when he steps up in front of a crowd. He has some serious skills when it comes to track selection and reading a crowd! Super sweet ...and melodic vocals mixed with an undeniable dirty bassline. Over the years Brent has had the pleasure of open for names like Dig-Dug, Soulfix, Czech, Will Bailey, Mighty Fools, Donald Glaude, DJ Dan, and Stupid Fresh. He is an island favourite who is not to be missed.
A DJ/Producer from Victoria, Canada; who isn’t sorry for party rockin’
Mr. Goodcat’s been deep in the music scene since his early teens. His interest in electric and acoustic guitar shifted when he got his first taste of electronic music in 2008, and from there history writes itself. Moving from the small party scene to performing at large venues in front of even larger crowds, he’s blessed the stage with well known BC rappers like Snak the Ripper and Mad Child (of Swollen Members fame), and the Outlawz. You can expect a fresh blend of bass heavy dub, dnb, breaks, electro and funk, that’ll keep the dance floor jumpin’
For the past three years, the DJ and producer born Ashley Jones has been making it rain in the disco with innovative remixes and original tracks. Jones is far from a new jack, having racked up over a decade of international club experience and studio chops as part of the legendary drum & bass group, Evol Intent. Yet as Treasure Fingers, he’s found a way to merge his diverse influences and deep history into a signature sound, packed with intricate basslines, chopped-up, gritty synth melodies, and party-ready drum breaks. It’s already captured the ears of everyone from rock groups Snowden and Miike Snow to house legends Romanthony and Roy Davis JR (all of whom personally requested the Treasure Fingers remix treatment). Equally intrigued were A-Trak and Nick Catchdubs, who quickly signed Treasure Fingers to their tastemaking label Fool’s Gold, home to Kid Sister, Duck Sauce and other buzzed-about favorites.
Treasure Fingers “Cross The Dancefloor”: “I dj now, and right now this is my favorite song to play. It’s a rare underground song” (Will.I.AM’s Favorite Party Starter Track, People Magazine) “Cross The Dancefloor” was Treasure Fingers’ debut, an inescapably catchy, vocoder-laced dance gem that two-steps over genre boundaries. The instant classic received support from AList DJs around the world such as Erick Morillo, Pete Tong, Annie Mac, Sinden and Kissy Sell Out. Treasure Fingers has kept the momentum going with heavy touring and official remixes for numerous artists including Little Boots (I Am Sound), Chromeo (Vice/Atlantic), Estelle (Atlantic), Empire of the Sun (EMI), Kid Sister (Downtown), Kid Cudi (G.O.O.D/Sony), N.A.S.A (Epitaph), and James Curd (Om) (remix went to #1 on the Beatport Club Chart). A constant favorite on Hype Machine, he has also received amazing support from such blogs as Disco Dust, Boom Boom Chik, Indy Shuffle, Big Stereo and Discobelle to name a few. A new batch of equally funky Treasure Fingers originals & a mix CD are on their way along with tours in North America, Europe, UK, Asia, Australia and South America. These coming after successful tours and gigs with artists Roy Davis Jr, Fake Blood, A-Trak, Chromeo, Laidback Luke, Fred Falke, Felix da Housecat & Benny Benassi, to name a few.
What else would you expect from the A-Town original with the Midas touch, who continues to receive accolades and Radio 1 support from heavy hitters Pete Tong, Annie Mac (with a mini mix under his belt), Kissy Sellout, Jaymo & Andy George, all helping Treasure Fingers launch up, up and away into the future with people worldwide shakin’ it cross the dancefloor. Treasure Fingers is Audio Viagra (NY Post)
Parallels is the moniker for electronic-pop front girl Holly Dodson, whose vocals combine the intense balladry of Kate Bush with the sweetness of Madonna’s true-blue era. A true front woman through and through, Dodson channels the magnetism of free-spirited predecessors like Stevie Nicks whilst weaving together sounds of static circuitry with lilting neu-Italo undertones into a patchwork of complex sonic stratums. Using a collection of vintage synthesizers and up tempo HI-NRG rhythm patterns, Parallels has been likened to the classic pop sentiments of Giorgio Moroder, New Order and Depeche Mode.
Recently playing SOLD OUT shows in Moscow, Miami, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Toronto and Vancouver, Parallels have shared the stage with internationally-acclaimed artists such as Florence and the Machine, The Juan MacLean, Sebastian Tellier, Crystal Castles, Midnight Juggernauts, A-Trak, Broken Social Scene and Miami Horror, just to name a few. Since PARALLELS formation in 2008, they have been chosen “Critics Pick” for Torontos Best Electronic Band amongst notables Drake and Metric, Parallels is creating quite a stir with their various collaborations, including an official remix for English indie quartet Delphics track “This Momentary,” Parallels has indeed been taking the world by storm with “Find The Fire” off their debut LP Visionaries recently featured on the Kitsune Maison Compilation 8. After a whirlwind 20-date US tour in 2012, PARALLELS is set to release their highly-anticipated sophomore album, XII, on Marigold Records in June.
As 1/4 of the group Define Audio which is currently signed to Rottun Records. Beatsmith is also known to drop the funk real hard in his solo preformances. He is a very well rounded producer who plays and produces everything from liquid drum & bass & funk to heavy bangin breaks and mid tempo tracks. He has upcoming releases coming out with Critical and Hedrok currently pursuing the mid tempo funky bass genre. With other 6 years of beat making with experience in running his own hip hop studio and having produced beats for many rappers and even a few albums he is very interested by the hip hop influenced ghetto funk sound and wishes to pursue it to his full extent.

With a growing monthly at Hush Nightclub (now running for over a year) and numerous shows around the Island, the Dreadsteppas have generated a substantial following. No other crew rinses out dubstep and drum and bass like the Dreadsteppas!
Rowan is warrior of liquid rhythms and deep soulful grooves, comfortable in the fringes of reality, readily passing between worlds in search of deep, heart-opening and inspiring dance music. Coming up as 4-trackers and indie rockers, Thomas & Neil both turned to electronic music in the late 90’s producing tracks together and solo under a variety of monikers (The Etards, Fried Egg Head, Sootsprite, Lady Business, Donkey Dong and The Righteous Rainbows of Togetherness). Among other events, RROT have played the barge at Folkfest, live PA over silent movies in theater, Tall Tree Festival, Victoria Art Gallery, 9one9 with LA Riots and others, Sugar with Bass Nectar and a litany of parties. RROT will be opening for Crystal Method at the end of June.
Confident. Exuberant. Raw. Innovative. These are just a few of the words industry insiders and fans have used to describe the talent behind one of America’s favorite house DJs, Donald Glaude. Ranked #68 on DJMag.com’s Top 100 DJs List in 2005, Donald skyrocketed to #48 this year and his genius keeps on growing…
Born in Tacoma, Washington, Donald’s love for music began at an early age. Originally a disciplined student of classical music, he was well-versed in the upright bass and violin. Any aspirations Donald had to continue in the classical vein vanished once he heard his first house record. With an ear for blending music already under his belt, and a love for the energy and soul of musical prodigies like George Clinton and Funkadelic, Donald began to amass a collection of house records which he taught himself to mix with a pair of mismatched turntables and a Radio Shack mixer.
Before Donald few DJs had attempted to spin house records. Donald’s fine ear helped him give birth to a new style. After mastering his craft, Donald began DJing in various clubs around Tacoma and Seattle. During that time he made several important connections which would launch his music to the forefront of what was quickly becoming one of the largest underground movements since New Wave in the late-70s. Perhaps the greatest connection Donald made was with another aspiring DJ and friend, DJ Dan.
Together Donald & DJ Dan sparked the rave scene in Seattle and developed large followings. Knowing that Donald possessed an energy and ability to work the crowd that was unparalleled to anyone else on the circuit, Dan convinced San Francisco’s legendary Funky Tekno Tribe to bring down his good friend Donald to play at one of their parties. Donald’s talents quickly made him a permanent fixture on F.T.T.’s roster.
Some DJs seek commercial acceptance. Donald, on the other hand, has always preferred an emotional connection with his audience. For Donald, house music is not simply a mixed bag of sound, but rather an experience that provokes the soul. Apart from his mastery on the decks, Donald is best known for his dynamic showmanship. He enjoys his music as much as his audience does. Embracing their energy, it is not uncommon to find Donald pumping his hands in the air, jumping up and down and shouting back his love to the crowd. It is this powerful signature style which has led fellow DJ and musical producer, Dave Aude, to call Donald the “James Brown of DJs.” Donald also caused some stir in 2005 and 2006 with his residency at ICE Nightclub in Las Vegas.
Donald’s uncompromising style and innovation show no sign of slowing down any time soon. With the credit of 5 full-length CDs and numerous remixes under his belt, Donald has focused much of his time to production work. Producing such dance floor hits as “Get Up” and “Soul Cha Cha”. As such, Donald has launched two record labels in which are causing rumblings in the industry. Eden Recordings, started with fellow DJ Rick V, and Durty Records, a collaboration with good friend Vince Lombardi.
Donald’s 2005 release, “This is Me” (Moist Music), is a 35-track double CD that defines his creativity, sound and vibrant style. Since its release, Donald’s fans have been eager to hear what’s next from their favorite DJ. Fans will be pleased to know that Donald’s hard at work on another double CD, “For the People” (Moist Music), a live recording and original tracks produced by Donald himself. With the completion of this latest project, the world should be prepared to experience all sides of Donald Glaude: DJ. Producer. ARTIST.
Continuing to be “The Hardest Working American Dj” Donald has many new projects planned for this upcoming year. He has a tour scheduled with “America’s Most Beloved Dj” Dj Dan and he also has another new CD releasing in 2007. Also expect new release from both of his labels Eden Recordings and Durty Records. You have seen him use his musical talents from bring his experience in playing bass, percussion, violin and then moving on to the turntable just show us his grasp on music. To mastering the turntable and then on to recently turned Serato user always expect the unexpected when you come see Donald Glaude………
I specialize in UK Bass music such as dubstep, garage, liquid funk, drum & bass. I am the founder of a music collective (Outersphere Recordings) that has the primary goal of building community in Victoria centered around dance music, primarily dubstep and drum & bass, as well as to positively support all existing music collectives in the city. I run two radio shows every week including one broadcasting out of the UK, and one from the University of Victoria (beginning July 9th). I have a large amount of instrumental music experience and my obsession is also my career choice. I am finishing my last six courses for a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Music, studying with some leading music technology researchers at the University of Victoria. I am also the founder and current president of the Computer Music Course Union at the university and intend on entering a Masters program in this field in the fall of 2012. I began performing primarily as a DJ this year as an opening act for Whitebird Events (www.whitebirdlifestyle.com), including “Propa Tingz” and “Grasp the Erro” at Hush Nightclub. Following the event, I was featured in a review by Victoria’s bass music blogger “Dub Selekta” (www.dubselekta.com). In November 2010, I was booked to provide music for a Whistler, BC snowboard company named Voleurz to support their promotional video tour (www.voleurz.ca). This event took place at Sugar Nightclub and was a highly successful. The included artist photos depict this event. The company later invited me to play music for another one of their events in Whistler BC, based on the success in Victoria, but I was unable to make it due to academic commitments. Since these events, I have filled the role as an in-house DJ at Whitebird Lounge, substituting for Sub|Division’s DJ Rhythmicon on several occasions. I have also performed as a DJ at many more informal events. References are available for all or any previous events upon request. I have been told to encourage promoters to contact these references as a result of my performances.
For these two young bassheads(spaceheads?) Dubstallion & Pinktaco from Calgary, Alberta. Turntables fell from the sky and without question they accepted the task of
spreading the sounds of the deep, dark, twisted, dirt’ riddims. With massive amounts of THC and alcohol consuming their bloodstream, they always
appear half drunk but don’t be fooled by these two, they keep it dirty yet simple, and the club bouncing all night.
With only one and a half years of experience, Dubstallion & Pinktaco are only progressing without limitations, soon to be followed by massive releases by
the SQUAD themselves. Enough with the text, listen to the MUSIC @ http://soundcloud.com/squalidsquad/
When Chino moved to Vancouver years ago, he got his first taste of electro. With a voracious appetite for more, he was instantly hooked on electro beats and buzzing bass lines. Quickly becoming a download maniac, scavenging the online world for all the electro he could get his hands on, Chino realized this was not enough! Two CDJ’s, Serato Scratch Live, and a pioneer mixer later, DJ Chi No was born! Since then Chi No has been heard killing dancefloors all over the place… No nightclub, afterhours, or rooftop is SAFE from being slammed by his heavy beats & heart pounding live sets!!
Now by getting his hands wet with producing, you can expect Chi No soon to be sharing his dirty electro dreams with the world…
Chi No is also the resident dj at Hush for their Monday nights with his partner in crime Soulfix… Their tag team style and in “yo face” approach to dropping bombs always has the dancefloor packed and jumping!!!
When asked “What style of music do you play”, JFI aka Jon-E Industry can only describe it as “BANGIN SHIT”. It’s this blend of Electro House, Breakbeat, Dubstep, & Drum & Bass that has helped establish his presence in such a short amount of time. Although he had been Promoting and Djing events for several years, it wasn’t until late 2007 that he decided it was time to start taking Music Production seriously. After 8 months of dedicated, hard work in the studio, Jonny had signed his first official remix deal, and now boasts releases on powerhouse labels such as BugEyed Records, DLA Black, Champion Beats, Play Digital, Big Fish Recordings, and Miles Dyson’s Plasmapool Records. During his short time in the game he has earned himself places on the Beatport.com, Trackitdown.net, Junodownload.com’s Top 100 charts including holding down the #1 and #2 spots on Dancerecord.com consecutively! With a stash of bass music ready for war he has no plans of slowing down, so expect the unexpected as he fights his way through the ranks and takes the music industry by force!

DJ Klever aka Josh Winkler was born on the fourth of July in 1977, the son of famous blues musician, Juke Joint Johnny. Josh distinctly recalls going to his father’s shows at a young age and listening him jam out on the harmonica. At the tender age of four, he received his very first drum set, a “manimall” Muppet Show kit that he practiced playing until the skins busted.
Josh spent most of his adolescence like any all-american kid: baseball, grinding curbs, and eating apple pie. He lived to sneak out at night and hit Atlanta’s local skate spots where he caught a healthy reputation for his competitive spirit and pushing big tricks.
At the age of sixteen, Josh’s competitive passion for both tricks and music met the almighty turntable and Klever was born. Growing up with a hip hop background, Klever studied djs like Premier, Cash Money, Afrika Bambaataa and Jazzy Jeff for their mixing and scratching arrangements.
In 1997, Klever started competing in every local competition possible where he began practicing with the Third World Citizens - Faust, Shorty, Shotgun, Craze, and T-Rock. In 2000, Klever seized the national DMC championship title and while at the international DMC competition, he was inducted into the world famous Allies crew, which consisted of renowned turntablists Craze and A-Trak. He began traveling the globe a lot with Craze. Shortly after, the two released the cult classic “ Scratch Nerds.” Klever began to produce prominent break record’s for battle djs and producers. In 2001, Klever successfully defended his national DMC title. He then represented the states in London for the international title. Later that year, he also won the national ITF title in San Francisco.
Beyond his accredited mastery as a turntablist, Klever has developed a healthy reputation as “tomorrows dj”. Klever has established his name throughout the dj circuit for his crowd-roaring routines and mix sets. Being born and raised an ATLien, his signature style (on and off the decks) moves crowds in every direction from his roots of crunk, booty, and hip hop to the sweaty sounds of electro, dance-rock, b-more, new-wave, hard rock, and anything worthy to make you rock with finesse.
In the past 5 years, Klever has been performing his signature sets non-stop around the world (Taiwan, England, Ireland, Germany, New Zealand, Scandinavia, Australia, Japan, etc). He consistently amazes crowds and party-goers from 60 to 60,000 at world renowned venues such as Miami’s Mansion, Amsterdam’s Paradiso, NYC’s Roxy and Irving Plaza, Fabric in London, and many more.
He has released several mix CDs obtaining notoriety from culture heavy hitters such as Turntable Lab and Tablist magazine. He also two immensely popular battle break records with DJ SHOTGUN (former dj for Goodie Mob), Dirty South Breaks and Get Crunk Breaks. He has also done remixes for Cool Kids, The Carps, Kill the Noise, Steed Lord to name a few.
Not only audibly, Klever’s skills have been featured in numerous DVDs: the film Scratch (a DJ documentary awarded at the Sundance Music Festival, A-Trak’s “Sunglasses are a Must”, Stanton’s – “Step-By-Step” (instructional), “Tableturn’s - A Great Day In Turntablism”, the 2000 & 2001 USA/World DMC Championships, the 2001 ITF USA Championships, 2002 & 2003 USA and JAPAN ALLIES Invitational All Star Beatdown, and the upcoming ALLIES (untitled) self produced DVD.
Klever is presently working on collaborative projects that encompass the street culture lifestyle through music art and fashion. Between touring nonstop and his dedicated lab time, Klever is the dj to watch.
My name is Andrew Sherry, I am 24 years of age. Music, and musical instruments have always been a huge part of my life. Electronic music has always fascinated me with it’s rapid evolution, and out of this world sounds, and capabilities.
In 2010 I was fortunate enough to have been apprenticed by my dear friend DJ Kenzie Clarke. I quickly caught the hang of it and was immediately addicted. I had my first gig within 4 months of stepping behind the tables at Lucky Bar, opening for BUSTA, and MR. Smith.
Over the past year I have played quite a few a gigs in Victoria, Vancouver, and Whistler. Some memorable gigs over the past year have been, The media club in Vancouver, 919 opening for LA Riots, holding down NYPD(Thursdays) at Lucky Bar for 3 months, Maple room for blackout at the Strath, OH GREAT Mondays with Wax, MR Smith vs the Shrew episodes at Lucky Bar on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
From Disco, Breaks, Electro, House, Dubstep and DNB I love it all and have a knack for knowing what the crowed wants to hear. You can expect to keep your feet moving, head banging and have the urge to want more.
My future plans for djing are to continue to enjoy it, and learn. I would like to increase the amount of shows that I play out of town, and will be starting to take over Friday Evenings, and Saturday Evenings at Lucky Bar with Chris Longshanks.
Since 2010, these guys have consistently destroyed every dance floor they touch. They are regarded for their creative live sets which jump from genre to genre seamlessly, for their original productions and remixes, and for their unsurpassed energy on stage.
They are supported by some of the biggest artists around the world, and it’s no surprise to anyone that many artists regard them as one of the hottest new acts for 2012/2013. These guys are destined for greatness, and they plan on leaving their mark across the world.
